Cabin on Frøya – B-thermIQ on the wind barrier during construction
B-thermIQ was applied to the wind barrier while the exterior walls were accessible during construction. The aim was to examine the contribution to the wall's thermal performance.

What the project images show
The images show thermal camera photos (Thermal Master) of the facade and a wall section. At different image points 24.1 °C (max before) and −1.3 °C (min after) were noted.
What the images do not establish
The assessment in the field is that this indicates clearly improved insulating ability of the wind barrier. It is a field assessment from thermal images, not a controlled measurement of energy use.
